When all the points have been added the winning club will receive the Inter Club Points Cup to hold for one year. The cup will be engraved with the club name shortly after the event.
The Universities Challenge Cup
This Cup will be awarded to the University scoring the most points on the day based on the same format as the Inter Club Cup. The Cup will also be engraved with the name of the winning university and held by them for one year. This competition can be likened to the Oxford and Cambridge race but on bikes! With four universities close by and several others not too distant there should be plenty of competition.
The final Circuit Race should finish in time for everyone to watch the closing stages of The World’s taking place in Yorkshire, and from the comfort of the Community Room on the big screen.
At 5.00pm we will have the Prize Presentation and we have a very special guest presenting the prizes. Remember as well as enjoying some great bike racing we will be raising money to buy much needed specialist equipment for the Bristol Heart Institute where patients from Bath, Bristol and all of the surrounding counties are most likely to be treated if they need open heart surgery. One in four of us will probably suffer a heart attack and someone in the UK is rushed to hospital for emergency heart treatment every seven minutes. We want to make sure that the doctors looking after us and our loved ones have the best possible equipment when they need it to help save lives.
